Application Fields 
1. Intermediate in organic synthesis, used in the preparation of 2-amino-4,6-dimethoxypyrimidine. Also used as a plasticizer for nitrocellulose;
2. Widely used in the production of dyes, fragrances, sulfonylurea herbicides, etc. Mainly used to produce ethoxymethylene, alkyl diethyl malonate, and further synthesize pharmaceuticals such as norfloxacin, lomefloxacin, chloroquine, phenylbutazone, etc., as well as synthetic dyes and pigments like benzimidazolone organic pigments;
3. Used as an intermediate in pharmaceuticals such as chloroquine, phenylbutazone, and sulfadoxine;
4. Approved by GB2760-96 as a permitted food flavoring. Mainly used in the formulation of fruit flavors such as pear, apple, grape, cherry, etc.;
